Loved it. Definitely not your typical urban read. I was hooked from the first book so I knew this one would be just as good if not better. Chyna comes to terms with her abilities and she's totally in love with Jason but during a visit to Brazil in search of her father it seems Chyna bites of more than she can chew and things for her start to go downhill. This is definitely a great read for anyone looking for something different. I give it 5 starsProduct details

Great read but a cliffhanger. Looking forward to book 3
I couldn't put my device down! I was mad at my stomach, pissed, at the sight of the toilet, and in love with a flat surface to recline on!
Read both book 1 & 2 of The Black Veil recently. Really liked both books. Was really surprised that the Chyna & Jason broke up ... & slept with other people!! Not sure I'm crazy about that storyline but the book kept my interest none the less. My SHOCKER was when I realized that the books were written 2 YEARS APART !!! REALLY ???? Think if I had seen that first, I would not have bought them. Story ended with a cliffhanger & I will NOT be waiting another 2 years to read book 3 ... if there ever will be one. Very disappointed in that.
For that reason I'm giving this a 3. Book was really short too
I love the fact that this is a supernatural ambw book. I haven't read a lot of supernatural fiction with a leading black woman. I can't wait to read what happens next in this series.
Ok I read book one and was hooked I just finished book two and I'm just pissed! Don't get me wrong the book was just as good of not more intriguing then the first book but it ends with another cliffhanger now that wouldn't be so bad BUT this book was published in 2015 we are coming to the end of 2017 it looks like there will never be another book by this author!!! I really hate that this series books just stop I think should remove them if the writer won't complete their stories this has left me disappointed and wasted my time reading a book that's not finished !!!!! I would rather read a mediocre completed story then a great one that will never be completed!! Shame on you T L Charles (
Great book! Once again T. Charles tells a story so captivating you can not put it down. A love story with lots of twists and turns. This is a writer I will follow. I love the story she tells. I hope I don't have to wait long.
